Hydrocyclone Filter Separator Cyclone Gold Washer Mineral Separator
Hydrocyclones are specialized equipment used to separate and grade ore pulp using centrifugal force. These devices do not require an additional power unit but must be used in conjunction with a slurry pump. They are widely used in ore dressing industries for tasks such as grading, separating, concentrating, and desliming.
Working Principle:
The hydrocyclone consists of:
- A hollow cylinder at the top and an inverted cone at the bottom connected to form the main structure.
- Feed pipes, overflow pipes, and sinks allow the slurry to enter and exit.
- The slurry enters the device tangentially, creating a high-speed rotational motion, which generates centrifugal force.
- Coarse and heavy ore particles are thrown outward, separating from the lighter particles, which exit through the overflow pipe.

- Ore Dressing: Separating valuable minerals from waste.
- Slurry Processing: Desliming and concentrating in various industries.
